This affordability is driven by ongoing industry investments, technological advancements, and competitive market forces that continue to deliver high-speed connectivity at consistent prices.
Home internet prices have stayed stable, while broadband speeds have jumped over 40%. In fact, when you factor in these faster speeds, the cost per megabit has dropped by about 80% since 2015.

Cable providers continue to expand service offerings that offer a variety of speed tiers and pricing options. Many also offer bundled services that combine internet, TV, and mobile, helping households save money.
At the same time, broadband is becoming even more affordable—between 2015 and 2024, speeds rose 113.5% while broadband prices fell 59.5%. Inflation-adjusted broadband costs have also declined, even as prices for other household goods have risen.
